چکیده

Introduction The aortic cusp has been recognized as a target of radiofrequency (RF) ablation in patients with ventricular arrhythmias. In some patients, ventricular arrhythmias have been mapped well into the ostial coronary arteries rather than the coronary cusps. Coronary artery stenosis is one of the most serious complications of RF ablation. This is the first case report describing severe right coronary artery stenosis after RF ablation at the right coronary cusp (RCC).

Chronic Left Coronary Artery Stenosis After Radiofrequency Ablation of Idiopathic Premature Ventricular Contraction Originating From Left Coronary Sinus Cusp.

A 50-year-old man was referred for radiofrequency catheter ablation of idiopathic premature ventricular contraction (PVC) refractory to metoprolol. The ECG characteristics of the PVCs suggested that the PVCs originated from left coronary sinus (LCC). Mapping was performed in the LCC using a 7F irrigated-tip ablation catheter via the right femoral artery. During clinical PVCs, the local ventricu...

Coronary artery injury due to catheter ablation in adults: presentations and outcomes.

BACKGROUND Currently, only anecdotal information exists on the presentation and outcome of coronary arterial injury after ablation procedures. METHODS AND RESULTS Four patients who sustained coronary artery injury of a cohort of patients undergoing 4655 consecutive ablation procedures (0.09%) are described. The patients' mean age was 45+/-11 years, and 1.8+/-0.5 prior ablation attempts had be...

عوامل پیشگویی‌کننده انسداد شاخه جانبی و عوارض زودرس آن به دنبال آنژیوپلاستی عروق کرونر

Background: Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) for bifurcated lesions is associated with a low rate of success and high rate of complications compared to such treatment of lesions of most other morphologies. Symptoms occurring at the time of procedure caused by PCI may require additional angiography with or without stenting through stent struts, which subsequently increases risks of reste...
